I dont think ya need extra ins. also I dont think you have enuf copper to interest thieves in ya house.
unless ya got a real big house. I knew a guy that took scrap metal out of abandoned commercial buildings and got $ 1000-2000 a day in metal.

Question by PrettyWifey: What kind of insurance do I need to cover my rental property?
Do I have to get special insurance for a rental property? Is it the same as it was when I lived there? Does it cost more or less than before?

What if a renter has someone get hurt on the property, can I get sued as the landlord?

Selected answer:

Answer by Twitter Bird
You need homeowners insurance for non occupying owner (rental property policy).

It costs about the same as your owner occupied homeowner policy, but you get less coverage.

Yes, you can be sued for injuries that occur on your property.

Question posed by mauryb: Must home insurance be in the name of joint owners?
My brother and I own a home as joint-tenants. Can we insure the home in my name only, rather than put both names on the policy? Or is his name required on the policy as co-owner?

My brother has a mental disability. We split the property taxes, but I’m willing to pay for home insurance, to save him some money. Thanks!

Question by Q’Aminator: Which car and house insurance company is recommended in California?
And with which one you had a bad experience?
does it matter how long I

ve been in California?

The top answer:

Answer by vhines200
Because rates vary by location I have found it cost-advantageous to shop around every time I moved to a different city in CA. Here in the South Bay I’ve had good luck with the California State Automobile Association (AAA) for both car and homeowner insurance.

Question posed by simdawgydawg: what is the difference between a HO2 and HO4 in house insurance policy?
what is the main difference?

My chosen answer:

Answer by mbrcatz
It’s HUGE.

An HO2 covers BUILDING and CONTENTS. An HO4 only covers CONTENTS.

They BOTH only cover for named perils.

Is this normal for home insurance?

Question posed by Patty: Is this normal for home insurance?
I have AAA-California home insurance and we had an incident yesterday involving a squirrel and our fire suppression sprinkler lines. AAA says they only cover the damage caused (carpets, sheetrock, moisture, etc.) by the squirrel eating through the lines, but will not cover the cost of repairing the lines. Is this standard for all home insurance, or do I just have a crappy policy?
The sprinkler lines are in my attic.

Answer by dymond
It’s common if the lines are outside lines.Insurance company’s only cover what’s inside the house. If the squirrel chewed wires in the house or under the house they are liable to replace them.Outside is another story however.
