Nope, sorry. You can’t claim something you broke yourself.
If you have accidental damage cover you may be able to.
Depending on the value of the laptop you may also have had to list it as a specified item.
You need to check your schedule/policy

If you paid for it on a credit card, check the benefits on the card. Allot of cards give you this type of coverage for a certain time period.~~
No, under the standard HO-3 contract that most people have your computer is not covered for accidental breakage.
However, you might have coverage (subject to a deductible) if you purchased the more expensive HO-5 form (very few people opt for that form due to the higher cost).
The other possibility is if you scheduled your computer, all companies offer a special endorsement to cover personal computers. If you purchased that coverage the computer could be covered for breakage.
Only way to be sure is to call your agent.
