There are different times of deductible. The $1200. is probably if your house is burned or damaged. There is probably a different deductible if some breaks into your home. ( I am sorry I cannot remember the correct terminology) But yes, most likely you will pay a deductible.
sure -but with that if it cost as much or close to the deductible then I would not file as you will then have a claim on record

You mentioned that you are with Fair Plan.
In CA, Fair Plan doesnt have coverage for theft/burglary/vandalism. Its only for fire, and ppl go through that company if they cant get insurance elsewhere (due to brush etc).
It might be different in Texas, but I would double check.

Yes. Any time you file a property claim under your own policy, you pay a deductible.
And theft coverage is NOT automatically included on all Texas Fair Plan policies.
