Does my landlord’s home owners insurance cover me if i get hurt at a house im renting?

   yes his home owners insurance will pay your bills if he doesn’t give you his Information than he will become responsible for your bills

   A Landlords insurance usually provides “Liability” and “Medical Payments” coverages for injuries that occur on the premises. The “Liability” coverage would pay if the landlord was somehow at fault for your accident. For example, if there was a defect in the floor that caused you to fall or something like that. The “Medical Payments” section of the landlords policy usually excludes coverage for tenants. Unfortunately, if you just fell and it was not as a result of your landlords negligence, his insurance company will probably not make any payment to you.

   It is always best to get your own renter’s insurance so you can be sure. If you don’t get to see the landlord’s policy, you can not rely on anyone’s word that you are covered. And his policy can be amended at any time with a phone call.
   The landlord’s policy is geared to a mailman tripping on the property..

   Anthony N, Home insurance is actually very flexible. I’m not familiar with all the fine print of my homeowners policy, but my home insurance agent is always a phone call away. Try contacting your agent or a homeowners agent in your town. They will be able to assist you.
