What are you waiting for? Have you called your insurance agent? You need to make a list of anything that was stolen or damaged and submit it as soon as possible. Your insurance agent will tell you what you need to be doing and when it needs to be turned in. Also must get a police report.
There’s no hard and fast time limit. As long as the police report was filed right after the burglary, or there’s a darned good excuse for the delay, you shouldn’t have a problem even six months later.
